We are excited to announce the publication of Trends in Antiviral Drug Development edited by us, Michael J. Sofia and Zhengqiang (ZQ) Wang.  It is the second volume in the Trends in Drug Discovery series published by Wiley/VCH.  This book highlights the discovery and development of breakthrough drugs that over the last 20 years have had a dramatic impact on the management of viral infections.  In addition, it presents the discovery and development of new molecular entities that have the potential to transform the treatment for other hard to treat viral diseases. Each chapter is written by those who discovered and developed these novel therapies and gives unique insight into the thinking and the science that went into making these discoveries happen.
